Meh. I got the "silver dot" variety, and it's ok. By the nature of the back, it's kind of a pain to put in. It doesn't quite look like the picture: it just looks like a few ovals stuck together, and it's definitely not as shiny. But it gets the job done.

These are my favorite, the only treadless earrings I buy for my conch piercings. Haven't tarnished, great price considering the same earring in solid gold would cost hundreds of dollars. Easy as any other flatbacks to put in. Have repurchased.

There is no locking securing mechanism. Yes they slide in but they just as easily slide out. After first night of sleeping, one had been caught in my hair and dislodged. Also incredibly difficult to put in.
