It's a very nice set seems well built but alot smaller than I thought. Pic showed 10 mm stud but it's only a 6 mm at most. Still a nice piece but not for a hood from the 70's

built a fold down table for my spare tire carrier, used these latches to hold it closed. Lasted 3 months before they stopped holding. table came down against my tailgate and damaged the paint. Tried to save $50 on real Quick-latches and did $300 in damage. Do not buy these!!

I see you! You're trying to avoid spending the money on Quiklatch products. I tried to do this as well and it was a huge mistake. They feel okay at first, but the more you use them, the more they degrade. They weren't too strong to begin with, but they wouldn't even latch anymore less than two weeks after being installed. The interior threaded section developed a ton of play, probably from low quality thread cuts and low quality aluminum, and began to back out. If it's not in the perfect spot, they won't latch and eventually, they stop latching completely. One of them fell apart dropping the absolutely tiny tiny balls out of it.TLDR; Failed rapidly. Poor manufacturing tolerances caused play to develop resulting in catastrophic failure. Buy Quiklatch.
