This plant grows from a large bulb and produces huge, bright-red blossoms when given some basic care. It grows outdoors in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 9 through 11, and in zone 8 when given winter protection. It also makes a good houseplant or can be grown as an annual. Do great indoors in Zone 1-10, in a nice sunny Spot! All orders Daylily nursery brand and are grown here. All orders are shipped with Daylily nursery branded packing material, and Daylily nursery copyrighted growing instructions.

The bulbs were big and healthy. They all produced at least 2 stalks. I would buy again.

Perfect, especially for the price! Update:After one week, all three are already showing new growth. Amazing! I soaked the root end in water for several hours before planting. That always seems to give them a jump-start.Update: As of January 20th, I have 8 huge beautiful flowers and a total of 7 stalks which will produce a total of 28 flowers - Spectacular!!!

All three of the amaryllis bulbs that I purchased were planted in late November, placed in a sunny window and watered as required on the forcing of bulbs information. None of the bulbs have produced a bud or bloom. I have lovely green stems!I have forced bulbs for the past 20 years and never had these results. Also, I purchased paper-white bulbs from the same company. Those bulbs have produced only one or two blooms now in January. .I have always given my forced bulbs as Christmas gifts. This year I had no blooming pots to share. It has been extremely disappointing.
