Each faceplate features a locking set screw for reverse lathe turning. These are well made, heavy faceplates. At 7/16" thick, they are rigid and well balanced.

I've bought a number of faceplates from RGWOOD and every single one runs true. They're thick and sturdy and the price is right. The faceplates have a lot of mounting holes for versatility and added hold. The included wrench is a nice touch.

Professional and amateur woodturners alike understand the value of having enough faceplates, especially for reducing the amount of time spent mounting and remounting projects, and ensuring that they're properly centered. But the cost of good quality faceplates (up to $30 for a simple 3-inch model) makes them a costly "like to have" for most woodturners.That's the main reason I was interested in the Woodworker Specialties/RGWOOD 3-piece set of 3-inch faceplates featured on Amazon Vine which are priced at a bit more than half the cost of equivalent products.The set arrived a few days after I requested it, and I was impressed by the overall quality of materials and manufacturing. The plates each weigh about 1 pound and are smoothly machined. They attached easily and securely to my Powermatic 3520 lathe spindle. The only significant difference between the Woodworker Specialties/RGWOOD plates and similar plates I own is that they feature one instead of two set/locking screws.Overall, I'm happy with the Woodworker Specialties/RGWOOD faceplate set and pleased with their relatively modest price. They're a good investment that should deliver years of use.

These are very well made with nicely finished machining. The 3 piece set provides you with the ability to set up several projects at the same time. Very cost effective. Comes with a wrench and each faceplate is individually boxed. Each faceplate has a set screw for reverse turning.

This is a nice set of 3" faceplates. They are accurately machined and run very true. They are made from a heavy piece of steel. They come with a wrench for removing them from the lathe.
