It attached to our Rigid 400's 3/8 " cable without a problem, but it not ONLY worked itself off from the cable, but in using a magnet to recover it, everything came up EXCEPT for the blades. My take is the blades broke off along with the lock washer itself untwisted from the cable! Poorly designed cutter. Don't waste your money on it! Considering that the drain had been cleaned professionally within the past few months this never should have happened! Now that the broken off blades are still in the line, I'm sure that this is going to cause an even worse blockage down the road. Totally disgusted about the entire thing!

Obviously, if you're buying this you're serious about doing your own rooting. If you've got ANY smarts you'll look at the way the blades are bolted on and, like I did, realize that in order to keep the nut from working it's way off you're going to have to drill it and pin it through the shaft BEFORE you use it.Once that's done it worked like a charm and cleared my main line no problems. Two thumbs up!And the icing on the cake is I didn't pay a plumber $300.
