Had a blown exhaust head manifold gasket on a 460 Ford...exhaust gas would melt silicone spark plug boots and kill that plug...these protected the plug boots until we could replace the manifold gasket...worked good as a stop gap measure and looked good ! ( Had been using short lengths of 1/2" copper water pipe....those lasted forever but not pretty...).

These would be great for straight spark plug wires but do not function well on SBC 90 deg plugs
