So far so good. It works as described and contrary to many of the negative ratings it locks onto my tool and the Dewalt battery secures to the battery adaptor. I guess time will tell but so far I love the idea of spending $19 for an adaptor than spending $50 or more for another Ryobi battery.

My tool system was the Dewalt 14.4V. As replacement batteries became non-existing, I switched to Dewalt 20V. When I came across this adapter on Amazon, I thought this will let me use some of the old 14.4V tools. It's okay. It works. I could have taken an old battery pack , gutted it, and got a power wheels adapter at a fraction of cost. Save your money and just put it towards your current tool system. This just let's you use old, worn out tools.

Well designed product. Easy to put on and take off my 14.4 volt tools. The Dewalt 20 volt battery fits perfectly on adapter. What more can I say?

Works on adapting a Black & Decker 14.4v hedge trimmer to DeWalt 20vFor me the adaptor was a better option than buying an old style 14.4v battery or a new hedge trimmer.So far no issues.

It worked to adapt batteries. However it doesn’t click into the female end of “green” brand tool. It’s fine for my application as using it in lawnmower which mounts battery upside down so gravity helps but would pain on a drill or similar product where battery is at the bottom.

Although it took a sec to remember to press the buttons, this fit in both my old and new Ryobi tools. Having this adapter means that I can use one additional kind of battery, which is super useful!
