I'm confident the extinguisher is in perfect working condition. And, it's reassuring to have this in our laser engraving shop! The only reason it's not a 5 Star review is that it was delivered with a bent safety ring. Easy enough to hammer out straight. But, it't something that QC or Shipping Dept. should have caught. Hopefully I NEVER have to come back to tell you how amazing it works in an emergency situation.

CO2 extinguishers are perfect for any fire (electrical or grease) where you don't want to wreck everything in the room. Chemical extinguishers are far cheaper -BUT- the foul smelling chemical powder they distribute ruins rugs, clothing, art and books. That applies to the entire class of Carbon Dioxide extinguishers. What distinguished this particular extinguisher from this particular seller was that when the extinguisher arrived damaged the seller promptly replaced it. They did require pictures clearly showing the damage which seems quite reasonable because the extinguisher is expensive. What's not to like about a fire extinguisher that's effective on practically any fire and causes little corollary damage or clean up hassles purchased from a seller who takes their warrantee seriously?

This is a great extinguisher. Just be certain of the type of extinguisher you are looking for. Different extinguishers, water, chemical, and CO2 for different purposes.

Arrived on time undamaged…of course haven’t used it and hope I never will. Like a gun, better to have and not need than to need and not have.

I was surprised to see C02 extinguishers still available. I decided to purchase one for the apartment to supplement the dry chemical and the Class K extinguisher I have.A couple Thanksgivings ago I had an incident in the oven where a paper bag of rolls caught on fire because the oven (which had just been repaired) had the broiler and heating elements switched within the main switch that was replaced. Thinking the bottom element was on, the broiler element was on instead and within a couple minutes I smelled something I shouldn't. I open the oven door and see flames. Thankfully I had a dry chemical extinguisher under the sink which I bought probably 20 years prior. It worked as expected and put out the fire, but left a huge mess in the oven!I got another dry chemical extinguisher and then a couple months ago as I was doing extinguisher research, I bought a Class K extinguisher in addition to this CO2 model. The Class K (sodium bicarbonate) is good for oil and grease fires, but it's messy. That's why the CO2. For burning paper bags filled with rolls, or other normal combustibles, the CO2 will work better because there will be no huge mess to clean up (I hope). The extinguisher arrived damage free with nothing out of the ordinary. Amerex is one of the major players in the fire extinguisher market, so in my mind, it's a name you can trust.
