Heavy duty not cheap plastic only noticed that it sometimes doesn't rotate, probably because I have water pressure to low

I am often frustrated whey buying plastic garden items that USED TO be metal! But this sprinkler is a well built metal base. It has a very solid feel to it as soon as I removed it from the box. I had purchased a brand name Gilmour sprinkler just last year that was all plastic. It has failed after one year of use (stops oscillating and difficult to adjust span). Although I am very mechanically inclined, there was no way to get inside the old one to attempt a DIY repair. But the construction of this Aquajoe model AJ-OMS20-BRS impresses me. And i was able to adjust the span range easily to be very narrow, allowing me to water the grass on the side of my house without wasting water. It has buttons to turn off the 3 nozzles on each end to make the width very narrow. When set to its widest span, it covered an area where I had to previously move the sprinkler and repeat to get the entire area. This until also comes with a 2 year warranty, and I purchased an additional 2 years very inexpensively, so I'll get at least 4 years out of it. I highly recommend this sprinkler if you are tired of cheaply made plastic ones.

Very well constructed metal sprinkler with lots of weight too it. No more cracked plastic sprinklers. Well worth the money spent. Works well! Highly recommend!

This definitely beats out any plastic oscillating sprinkler you can get hands down. The metal construction makes this durable and less susceptible to fading or falling apart from sun damage. If you have bad water pressure, this fixes your problem because you can shut off the outer nozzles which increase pressure to the center nozzles. I’ve gained more than double the height in terms of spray distance. That adjustability in range is great. No leaks even without Teflon. This will be the only sprinkler I buy from this point on.

Great product, the coverage is the best I’ve ever had in a sprinkler. Well designed and built. Pay the extra here and not have any worries for some time going forward. Love it and glad I purchased it, definitely recommend.

2nd review: New update. After three weeks, water started leaking. It's been six months, and I still haven't received a replacement under warranty. I've contacted customer service six times, and each time they tell me, "Please wait a month because we're out of stock." However, when I check their website and other retailers, the product is available. I'm starting to question if their warranty is actually legitimate.1st review: I recently purchased and started using an oscillating sprinkler, and I am very pleased with its performance. It provides even and consistent water coverage across my lawn and garden, with adjustable settings that allow me to customize the spray pattern and range to ensure all areas are adequately watered. The setup is straightforward, connecting easily to standard garden hoses with intuitive adjustment controls, making it operational within minutes. The sprinkler oscillates smoothly without any issues, and the build quality is robust, featuring durable materials that withstand regular use and exposure to the elements. Overall, this sprinkler has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, ease of use, and durability.

Ordered from Amazon on advice from friend who highly recommended the AJ-OMS20-BRS. Item received however only instructions for operation were on the cardboard packaging. The cardboard was broken in spots as if item was returned and repackaged and resold. Notwithstanding the sprinkler worked very well, so much so I ordered a second sprinkler for the back yard. This sprinkler was received in great shape, had a detailed manual and a warranty registration card . The manual was very helpful in describing how to maintain the sprinkler which the first order did not detail. Overall highly recommend this sprinkler based on the solidness of the sprinkler and the many adjustments available to enable watering various sized lawns and gardens.

Seems like we are always balancing adjustability with curability. The "indestructible" part of the description applies only to the frame, which is metal. The moving, adjusting, and operational parts are all plastic (or nylon). These parts were the failure points on another unit I owned, so only time will tell on this one. I will say that some of the weak areas on my older one (width of spray) are handled differently on this one and should help make them last longer. I live in Hawaii and the UV of the sun is more intense, and that is what degraded parts in my other ones. The the price, this is a quality product and it is working well for me.

The water flow and directional control for this model is exceptional. A variant model uses a slider on each side to redirect the 3 nozzles on each side but I much prefer this model which uses the 3 push buttons to turn the water off for the 3 nozzles on each side. This allows a more even water distribution and also boosts the amount of water for the remaining nozzles giving them an even further range / coverage. The frame is heavy, durable and stays where you place it. Highly recommended, I bought a second one.

Very well built and seems will last a long time (I don't leave sprinkler out side ). Adjusting the width and length of coverage is not a simple/easy task as always. Covering area, angle, water pressure/flow, number of nozzles using...all can be adjust to fit your lawn size and shape...just take a bit time to adjust them. One minor concern is, the moving parts of the sprinkler may have a chance to catch the (a little bit long) grass and struck (for a while). After all, good product and well worth the money spent.

OVERVIEWI am reseeding a 14K sqft front yard and needed 6 of these to provide water coverage for the next 2-3 months. I successfully reseeded a small patch of the yard with the smaller version of this one so I thought it only made sense to get the bigger one for this project.THE GOODTons of customization options, spray width, strength, oscillating action, metal construction, when it worked it was great.THE BADOnly 2 out of the 6 would oscillate on the very first day and the next day it was a different 2 that would oscillate. So I went to YouTube, most of them said it would be due to water pressure so I tested my lines. My water line produces 80PSI and 12GPM while this sprinkler only needs 6.8GPM and 60PSI to work properly.I made sure no other water was running in the house, programmed the zones in the controller so that only 1 was running at a time....and still no oscillation. I could get it to turn a few times by moving it by hand but each one would get stuck a few min later.I tried everything, larger diameter hoses, running only one at a time, shorter hoses, different hose bibs, even made sure the rotating part had no contact with the ground....nothing would make them oscillate properly; just a clicking sound when they got stuck in one position.Like I mentioned, I am reseeding 14K sq/ft with thousands invested in the grass seed, lawn prep, etc. in the middle of a Florida 95F summer, there is no way I am going to risk that investment on a sprinkler that is not able to provide the exact coverage that I need so I am sending all 6 back.ALTERNATIVEI had already put down the grass seed when I discovered that these were not working and needed an immediate replacement to keep from drying out the seed so I went to my local retailer and got the Melnor equivalent instead. In the store they only had the cheap plastic version, in fact it felt cheaper in every way, but it advertised 4500 sq/ft of coverage so I grabbed 6 of them.Amazon carries much nicer versions with more metal and more options than the ones I purchased, but I did not have time to wait for another delivery. If I had to do it all over though, I would definitely order the metal versions from Amazon.https://www.amazon.com/Melnor-65055-AMZ-Oscillator-Adjustment-QuickConnect/dp/B07P9FH2FL/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=melnor%2Bsprinkler&qid=1659312408&sprefix=melnor%2Bspri%2Caps%2C123&sr=8-2&th=1CONCLUSIONDespite all of the positive reviews, my experience with these is that they are complete trash, the maker really needs to improve their oscillator design in some way that others seem to have already figured out. Melnor has a new customer for life (I got their hose timers as well while I was at the store), and Aqua Joe has lost a customer for life as well. Hopefully this review spares someone else the complete waste of time, money, and water that I had to deal with.So what do you know...they work perfectly, not a single one did not oscillate, and in fact I can even run two at once

This is a great sprinkler, among the best I’ve owned. It’s solid and well-built, with a metal chassis and durable fittings all around. Its mechanism is so free that it will oscillate with minimal water pressure, something lesser sprinklers that have more resistance won’t do with twice the pressure. However, there are some things about this sprinkler that could stand improvement in its next generation.1 The width adjustment doesn't do much. I’ve had other sprinklers where the width adjustment ranged from 50–100%. This one adjusts maybe from 90–100%. Not all that useful.2 The flow adjustment knob increases the flow as the knob is turned counter-clockwise, and vice-versa. This mimics a faucet handle, but people associate turning a knob left with decreasing. It’s easy enough to remember this counterintuitive setup, but will you remember next year after not using the sprinkler for months—and soak yourself as a result?3 The nozzle cleaner is a worthwhile addition and not a gimmick, but my old fingers had a hard time removing it for use.4 Somebody needs to design one of these oscillating sprinklers in such a way that the nozzles at the ends project the water the same distance as the nozzles in the center, so that it's possible to water a true rectangle and not miss its corners or water beyond its sides. It's a simple matter of water pressure at the nozzle, isn’t it?Overall, a stellar product manufactured by people who care. Since many sellers apparently OEM this design, suggestions for improvement may go nowhere unless the seller relays them.
