its would make more sence if they can made the paddle direction if press right it turn right and press left it turn left instead of the opposite direction.

***Updated***: Finally was contacted by the manufacturer, who contacted the seller. Seller sent a new integrated circuit card and instructions on how to replace the "mother board'. Fairly easy. The motor works like it did when it arrived. Still a great motor for my larger than average boat.Original Review (Edited to remove not buying another of these motors): Fantastic fun the first two years on the boat. Mounted it on my heavy aluminum 1950 Cadillac 4 seat boat, and powered right along. Then the fully charged battery and fully charged remote stopped talking to each other, and the motor would not accept more than one command (start, but no turning, or turning, but no propeller spinning) I had difficulty contacting customer support.

Use this thing for trolling with spoons and Mepps in my Sportspal. Able to go a decent clip even against 12km/h wind on medium sized lakes. Able to go through a moderate amount of weeds as well.

First of all, I was using this on a Kayak built to be powered by an electric motor (Pelican PWR100). I have used it 3 times! It is literally BRAND NEW!The first trip went well. Aside from the fact that it is very hard to keep the kayak straight. I need to have the controller constantly in my hand since as soon as I hit left or right, the motor can't fall into the "sweet spot". It is very hard to fish or do anything while moving since I have to hit left/right/left/right/etc constantly to go in a somewhat straight line.2nd trip = Found out the motor was "buggy". Sometimes when I hit "left" on the controller even for half a second, the motor end up going "all left" as if the controller button was stick... This is VERY dangerous luckily I wasnt sailing in tight spots!3rd trip = Motor would't turn at all! It starts/stop just fine but won't turn anymore! Figured I would steer with my paddle and could get away with it at least for now, but 2 minutes after running at low speed (2/10), the motor starts beeping and turns off... That was a long ride back with my backup paddle...Now good luck to me to contact the customer support... My season is most likely over... And I wouldn't trust a brand new one again. You can't go out on the water with untrustworthy equipement...

I use this light weight motor on my kayak on lake and ocean (inside bay) without any issue except the handle fell off the first day, it be very difficult to steer without the handle. I use epoxy to glue back with a stainless steel bolt (see picture) I suggest you do this before taking it out to save some serious trouble. It still worked well after several salt water trip ( rinse afterward) so I am pretty happy with what I got for the price. Power is not very strong but adequate for assurance. Won’t count on it for open water ocean though.

I had been looking for a rear mounted trolling motor that is foot controlled and remote controlled. I could not find one. I didn't want to frankenstein a bow mount trolling onto onto my kayak. I found this one. I have had it the water now several times. Flawless operation. Works perfectly. Love the remote. Some say the foot pedal is a little big but I like it because it easy to maneuver my foot around it. You can stand and fish in my kayak like a bass boat. The remote really shines with this.I am 100% happy with this purchase. Thank you for making a great product!

We put it on the side of our fishing kayaks and it works perfectly. We made the motor mount ourselves. We have since painted it so it looks much better now. When we get tired of paddling we turn it on. We love it.

J'ai reçu le colis (Montréal) en 3 semaines . En bonne état et fonctionne bien. Ça demande quelques essais avant de savoir comment mettre en contact la manette de contrôle a distance avec le moteur. La manette offre 5 vitesses au total, la pédale filaire a 10 vitesses au total ce qui est beaucoup plus pratique. Si vous avez déjà un moteur à essence à l'arrière avec un volant, il faut être ingénieux pour mettre tout cela en place correctement. Je suis bien satisfait de mon achat. J'ai 15h d'utilisation jusqu'à maintenant.

I received the wireless 26 inch shaft model and even tho I aint got it on the water yet,I did test it and it's whisper quiet it is even at full speed.the remote control works great and I was impressed on how built the lower housing is I actually wish it was a lil lighter but oh well.i also was really impressed by customer support they're super nice and helpful!

Now I've been using electric motors with my solar system to push my 30ft sailing yacht for many years now. I've been through many electric motors by several manufacturers. This one is by far the best built and strongest of all of them! It's not that quiet because you can hear that powerful gearbox in motion. I love that sound! It sounds like a jet engine revving up to speed! At very low speeds it can quiet down pretty well if you wanted to use it for fishing. It's perfect for what I do and two of them would be equal to a diesel engine on my boat. Big electric motors need big battery banks, keep that in mind. Twin 8Ds are great! I'll make a video soon.
