There's nothing wrong with a T18 stapler as such, if that's what you get.The one I got from Amazon was a T50red in a bubblewrap sleeve that had a barcode sticker for a t18 .I just returned it....

Finally, the correct stapler and staples to fasten the thin, 4 wire telephone cable to baseboards.

Only dislike is it only has one strength setting for stapling.Previous tool had a weak & strong setting.Apart from that, happy with the gun.

HiThe product was in original packaging and arrived on time and as expected. My kids borrowed my 30 plus year old T18 which never jammed or gave me any problems at all. They lost it an i was forced to buy this new oneOut of the box it kept jamming and wasting more staples until i was forced to put it aside and use my old craftsman regular stapler. It uses regular staples not cable specific staples but it worked and I just wanted to finish with cabling.I called Arrow and was told it would be faster for them to ship me parts and try to fix it myself than to send it back.Next time my kids can buy their own tools.

I seem to collect these staplers by Arrow. I have 3 different models. These have been made in the U.S.A. for a long long time. I used one in the 1960's when working for a local telephone company. Now I help friends (many have older houses) install telephone wiring in their homes when they want a phone in another room or move an existing phone to a different place. Often the older homes had telephone wire running along the basebord in a room. That's where this stapler reigns supreme. These staplers are heavy duty constant use tools that seem to last years and years. The metal is chrome plated, very sturdy, and is easy to use and reload. Various size staples with diffeent leg lenght are available. Staple reloads happen in the blink of an eye and the tool has a good feel. As the handle is squeezed the business end holds the wire in place and then as the handle reaches the end of its travel the staple is sent home. Releasing the handle puts the next staple in the ready position and work can progress rapidly.Boxes of staples are usually readily available Each time when I place an order at Amazon I remember to add several boxes of staples as needed, of course. These make good gifts for the various holidays and since they are made in the U.S.A., will last a lifetime. Amazon has a better selection than the hardware stores I visit. Hope this helps with your project

I bought the unit primarily for use on installing alarm cable for my house. Very easy to use and requires very light pressure to trigger. It is strong enough to drive staple through dry wall and wood frame around doors. No complaint.
