I have not yet used this for its primary purpose (ball joint removal) but I want to confirm for interested parties that this worked great for removing the u-joints (on my 2005 Jeep Liberty). The tool, while heavy, is very sturdy and had no problem with the use of a cordless impact wrench on the central screw.

Used it on my 19 ram 2500, needed to cut my lower ball joint pin to be able to get the press in ! The longer version of the press should be use with these truck! But overall the press support the abuse and stayed true !

Je ne sais pas si c’est moi, mais je crois qu’il manque des pièces pour faire là job sur un 3500.J’ai dû réfléchir à plus d’une fois et utiliser des pieces autre pour réussir le travail.

Bought this to change the ball joints of my Jeep Wrangler JK. Couldnt complete the job and had to go buy additional adapters. Theres also a blatent mistake in their included instruction manual regarding placement of adapters. Compared to other BJ presses ive used, this one felt like it was missing the lower install ring, to press joints in place.Do not reccomend for 4WDs

I like Astro tools as they are much better than the typical variety available at the local HW store. Professional grade. I'm not a pro, but I suspect a lot of serious DIY folks like myself will want this tool because of Astro quality. That said, the instructions and attachment combinations, could be improved. I spend a lot of time trying to figure out to use the tool on a common GM, G Body, lower ball joint. Once I did figure it out, the tool worked great.

This press is top notch, for the price it will last years, sure the adapters are minimal in selection but the C clamp is high quality! If you need more adapters get the master kit but for me this is plenty for my needs .

I used this on a 1st gen Toyota Tundra upper ball joint. I made my own press cups from some 2" I.D pipe and 1.5" O.D pipe. I could only us the c-press and two adapter discs from the kit, I was ready for this, I mainly only needed the c-press. I modified one of the adapter discs with my grinder so it would hold the 2" I.D pipe and a notch to fit around the spindle on the truck. Once I had it setup it pushed both ball joints out with ease and I used the c-press to install some ball joint adapters that came with some aftermarket UCA's. This press looked the best quality without spending a lot more on an OTC version.

I needed to replace the differential-side u-joint on the rear driveshaft of my Jeep Liberty. I watched a few videos of people banging and pounding on the caps with sockets and hammers to remove the old joints and install the new ones. I then watched a video of somebody using a tool like this to do the job effortlessly, and knew which approach I wanted to take. This kit isn't the cheapest, but it's built like a tank, and did the job perfectly. The amount of time and effort it saved me is easily worth the asking price, not to mention I can use it for a variety of other suspension-related jobs.

On a jeep jk dana 30 i had to use a grinder to modify one of the cups to allow a flush fit for the upper ball joint to be pressed in. Its easy enough to do just a heads up.
