the threaded bolt to run the tool is not the greatest quality if bearings are seized it strips when using a impact wrench and your changing bearings because there bad and stuck hard in most cases

Worked on my 2000 Honda Civic. Only problem is this tool doesn't take off the hub it needs to be hammered out, then this tool can be used to remove and replace the bearing and then use it to press the hub back in.

Used light oil on threads. Only concern is the long nut is not full thread, but it worked as intended. Better then the 20 ton hydraulic press that I built.

Kit is fairly complete, except for the lack of a hub removal jig.As others have pointed out, the kit comes with a coarse threaded, unmarked forcing bolt and simple washers as bearing surfaces, which tend to fail under strain. I replaced the original 10 TPI coarse threaded screw with a grade 8 fine threaded one with deep nut, which translates into a 60% increase in forcing pressure and a signifcantly greater shear resistance compared to regular grade steel bolts. I then added some thrust ball bearings to reduce friction on the bearing surfaces and lubricated everything with extreme pressure grease and it worked great on my 20 year old Honda Civic that lived all its life in the Salt Belt.Although the removal strain maxed out my heavy electric impact gun and the forcing nut got hot in use, there was no observable wear on the threads. These vast improvements only cost me an extra $20 and turned a cheap kit into one superior to another that sells for $50 more and whose only improvement is to come with an extra ungraded coarse threaded forcing screw. As for the other components in the kit, they are very heavy, worked flawlessly, without any signs of strain and suffered no visible damage in the process.

Tool was awesome, just use plenty of grease on the main screw and nut and let me tell you I use my 1200 ft lb impact and the removal and installation of the bearing were a breeze. Make sure line up stray if it is a little off just stop and adjust and plenty of grease this tool wont loose tread. Excellent tool.
