The pond prowler 10 from bass pro comes with a trolling motor plug like this. I connected the male end to my trolling motor so I could have a bow mount situation. I then realized if I want to put it in the transom I’d need another female plug. I bough this with fingers crossed and it fits but.. it’s super tight. Maybe as I use it more, the receptacle will break in and loosen up a little. As for now, it doesn’t quite make an electrical connection unless you force it. But… it does work after that. I drilled a hole in my battery box and mounted this in the top of it. Now I have more flexibility in where I put my motor (front or back). I was a little disappointed in the amount of wire that came attached to it too but, I can make it work.

Solid and well made. Did what I needed it to do for a quick hook up and disconnect for the bow mounted trolling motor. When installed, looks like it came with the boat!

I needed a way to have plenty of light from a 12 volt battery while I trotline fished at night. The cigarette adapter kept melting from the 50 watt 12 volt bulb. I purchated the Attwood Trolling Motor Receptacle and Attwood Trolling Motor Plug. They work great together. I can have light for hours and none of the wiring gets hot.

I used his receptacle along with is mating plug to pull power from my RV battery for a portable macerator pump. So far has worked great. It is hard to find any kind of a 12VDC receptacle and plug other than the Mickey Mouse cigarette lighter plugs. Most of them will not carry a high amperage load such as I needed.
