Review :;Audio-Technica AT-LP60X-GM Fully Automatic Belt-DriveHere it is finally. I have really been wanting to get back to vinyls but didn't want to spend too much . Just needed a decently reviewed entry level turn table that doesn't look like a cheesy "retro vintage " looking turntable that scratches your LPs.I got this amazon warehouse open box for a steal price and that makes this so much sweeter to review.You can easily tell this is fairly entry level. Plastics everywhere. Not robust build at all. Everything from the arm to cover to casing is really Fisher Price. I think at this price tag that's kind of expected. The back isn't even rca... It's a 3 pole mini plug and you have to use mini plug to rca splitter to get into your amp. There's no automatic next song advance it's totally manual.Despite the initial impressions of complete budget build materials, I'm still happy with it. With absolutely budget expectations, it still works amazing and sounds pretty darn fine. Running it thru to tube amp made by Sophia Baby, this thing sounds ultra warm. Playing back a few classics like Safe, Sarah Mclachlan and New order LPs, you really feel the delight listening to these albums in this format. Sit back and just enjoy the music with a tumbler of scotch.This is just a great starting point for anyone getting into vinyls without breaking the bank. And it doesn't have that super power cheesy retro look like all the hipster style turntables.So long as you don't have unrealistic expectations here, I think you can be happy with this. Especially if you have a steal deal amazon warehouse price.Super happy camper. 5 stars

You will have to do some set up when you get it but it is super easy and straightforward. It was really easy to set up and I had no problems connecting it to my speakers. The quality is really good and it looks amazing. The music clarity is insanely good and I’m really happy with this purchase!! I definitely recommend :)

This just arrived today and I am loving it so far. Sounds good, was easy to set up and is exactly what I wanted, a well priced record player. Picked up a few records from my local record store and have been listening to them the last few hours. Wonderful to hear that great sound of Vinyl again with some nice Jazz coming through :)If you are looking for a decently priced record player, pick this up!

This is definitely an entry level TT. This is a trusted brand, and despite the plastic components, it sounds great. My biggest concern is long term durability. It is very easy to set up, it took 5 minutes. It might take longer if it's your first. The biggest drawback is the inability to swap out cartridges. This limits your options to swapping stylus only, and would have to be an AT compatible one. But at this price, it's not a deal breaker. The built in phono stage is nice to have if you only are using powered speakers, which is what my daughter is using for now. So far so good. The fully auto function is great for a first TT.

So my old school record player from the 70's finally died (one channel on the RCA's was giving distortion) so I decided to try this cheaper record player due to the reviews. Got it next day which was amazing and once I unpacked it, I noticed that it was missing the RCA plug that goes from 3.5mm to 2 RCA's. So I called Audio-Technica Canada which every department goes straight to voicemail (still left a voicemail). So instead of returning it to Amazon (which I'm sure they would have gladly returned with no questions asked) I went to the local dollar store to see if they had this adapter which they did (Yaay $4 fix) I plugged it in and it seemed to work fine. I did notice the sound quality was not up to par with my other record player (could be the cartridge which is not replaceable, or the needle). I also don't know if the speed is exact since there is no way to tell, it seems a bit slower then it should. I noticed there are screw holes for speed adjustments so this may be a simple fix.So in conclusion, for the price, I don't think you will find a better record player.Edit: So I had to make an update and change my star rating. So Audio-Technica got back to me, they said they would send me one in the mail with no issues. After spending a few days with this, I have to admit, this is a solid unit! I've had $800+ turn tables and I'm sorry, for the price you shouldn't even consider anything at a higher price. I know I miss the adjustments but again, would you pay a significant more for those features when this just works. The sound quality and speed were verified and seems to be on par with my other record player. I had them side by side with my much more expensive record player, connected to Edifier S3000Pro and my Edifier S2000Pro, and couldn't tell the difference.

As title, it's a good model for newcomers to the hobby that won't break the bank. This model does go on sale fairly often so try to catch when it's discounted. Recommend replacing the included felt slipmat with one of a different material to reduce static.

I have played both 30 year old, and brand new records on this player, and both sound excellent. It is very easy to set up, and is aesthetically pleasing. It is a little on the light side (since it is primarily plastic) as other reviewers have stated, but is a very good quality baseline record player.

super simple to set up and to use, great as a first time purchase of a record player. There are lots of options to output sound and connect speakers. Super easy to use.
