Unless you're a pro landscaper and accustomed to doing this on a regular basis, this thing is heavy and awkward to use. Very slow going as a result. I'd rather lean down and trim grass edges than use this.

Blades are too thin, they bind and are actually curved letting grass and other plant matter slide through without cutting.

Great quality but might be easier to control with a foot. I found them particularly tough on my wrists and opted for my other shears on my hands and knees.

Definitely not for large areas, but works well for trimming edges. Not for weak arms.

Buona lama.

These work well but I have to say they are ergonomically awkward for me to use--I'm a 5'4" woman, not a weakling, and I found these to be quite the forearm workout. The angle is awkward and I found myself wondering why the angle wasn't closer to 90 degrees, to me that would seem to make more ergonomic sense. Maybe easier to use for a taller person? Still better than squat-creeping all around my yard to edge my raised beds, gardens, etc.

This product was exactly what I was looking for! I have a lot of fence edges and planters to trim around string trimmers are sometimes hard to control. I also did not want to spend a lot of time crawling on hands and knees trimming grass with shears. I am 6 foot tall and I find the handles are absolutely perfect for this height. The shearing blades are heavy duty and sharp right out of the box. The handle grips are contoured to support your palms which is appreciated if you are trimming for a long period of time. There is a price to pay for the quality metal used in this tool--quality adds weight. Your arms will definitely get a workout if you have a lot of trimming to do. I don't believe it is any more strain that you would experience waving a good quality string trimmer back and forth. The blades are well balanced so you can get into tight spots trimming with just the tip of the shears or you can grab a large clump of grass in open space. The blades work best on dry green grasses and young weeds. You have to put a little more effort into dead grasses and weed stems but it is still effective.
