The Big Dipper LED Moving Head with Zoom and LED Strip is awesome. It’s a thing to behold. However, I do have a few notes. The auto routine is simple and short, so the repeat gets old quickly. Big Dipper needs to write a longer more complex auto routine for plug and play one to many slave operation. However, if the intent is for the light to be used on bigger stages with DMX, then the LED ring is questionable. It draws attention to the light and away from what’s being illuminated. The light has a motor in the head that moves the lens back and forth. This causes the beam to go from spot to flood. An amazing effect on a big stage with multiple units. However, the LED ring makes the light more of an attention getter for a DJ. While you could turn off the ring, that kind of defeats the purpose of having it in the first place. So, it’s an awesome light stuck between two worlds: the big stage and the big DJ show. It will do both, but isn’t as great as it could be at either. Cheers.

Got this on a whim for a party, and it is much more complex and technical than I had initially thought. The manual does a good job of explaining functions, but definitely still a lot of learning to be done. However, the overall quality of the Big Dipper light is astounding, and is very high quality. The illumination feels very full and even according to each profile, with no particularly dim or over saturated spots. Display is simple to read though so a bit easier on my brain. Good overall, just a big shock for the price to begin with (Pretty worth it though in my opinion).

This Big Dipper Stage Lighting 19X15W Moving Head Stage Light is easy to setup, comes with mounting hardware, lights up a large area, can be used with or without a DMX controller and has a front display that is easy to read.Tested it out during a Gig where it connected with existing DJ hardware plus programmed without issues then was able to bring it home after and use it without DMX which took minutes to program using the front display.There is a built-in fan to keep it cool and it does feel heavy however the included mounting hardware is able to keep it supported but must but installed in a solid ceiling or surface.The ring portion of the Light also changes colors making it more exciting.Big Dipper Stage Lighting 19X15W Moving Head Stage Light that is exciting, reliable, easy to program, automated and lights up a large area during use.
