Material is used B-499 nylon cloth. Applications include are wiremarking and general labeling applications. B-499 is not recommended for outdoor use. Print technology is thermal transfer, matte white finished. Printer compatibility is BMP21, ID PAL, LABPAL. Brady series R4300, R4900, R6000, R6000HF, R6200 and R4500 colored (red, blue and green). Dot matrix ribbons are available in brady series R2000 and R5000. RegULatory/agency approvals are UL B-499 is a UL recognized component to UL969 labelling and marking standard when printed with brady series R4300, R4900 and R6000 thermal transfer ribbons and R2000 and R5000 dot matrix ribbons. I like the quality of the product and my label maker itself, fabulous.I took one star away because my god, the labels are expensive. It also seems like when you are making a decent amount of labels, you fly right through a new cartridge. I have not done a major cost comparison but it does seem like it we go through a lot of them without really using it a lot.I also notice that i need to make one short label each time i change sizing as the first label that comes out is always printing the first letter half the way through. Not sure if this is the label or the label maker itself as i do not have another label maker to test my cartridges on and it does it on 6mm, 1/2" and 3/4". Not the end of the world there, just pointing that out.
