I bought this shears for brand and quality I expect from Knipex. These cable shears handle softer metals and other materials that you want a clean cut from (see photo). Having a clean cut is ideal if you need to avoid burs/smashing left by other cutters like dikes or diagonal cutting pliers. These cable cutters also do double duty by cutting my Labrador's nails cleanly. I also have another Knipex cable shear that handles small diameter steel cable.

My previous pair was a blue point sold by snap on. These far exceed the quality of the bluepoint for half the price. The level of precision is exactly what I was looking for.

Me gusta mucho esta marca de herramientas porque la calidad de sus productos es muy buena, el filo de estas cortadoras es impresionante, el corte de cable circular lo deja limpio sin deformarlo o filamentos mal cortados. Solo hay que recordar que no es para cortar acero, solo sirven para cortar cobre o aluminio.

i first used a co works and it cut some much easier then my Diagonal Cutters, i had to get a par for myself.

Good cutters but not for very big cable but very nice handle. And does cut cables and wires better then diagonal cutter much cleaner rounder cut.

AMAZING shears that cut effortlessly! You won't be disappointed! Worth the money. Probably the last shear you'll ever buy unless you lose it or it gets stolen.
