About this item

  • Premium Ultra Low Watt Density heating element has 5 year warranty
  • 240V/5500W
  • Best when water has high mineral count
  • Resists dry firing
  • Heats in lime and sand that would burn out ordinary elements

Camco's 5500W 240V screw-in foldback type Ultra low watt density water heater elements are better suited for areas with problem water (hard water, lime, etc.) Premium Ultra LWD Lime Life elements carry a limited 5 year warranty. Ultra LWD and special metal surface (high performance nickel-chromium stainless steel alloy) reduce chances of lime build-up. They resist dry firing and are ideal for problem water areas and locations with intermittent water supply. Screw-in type elements fit most models of American, AO Smith, Bradford White, Craftmaster (prior to 1991), GE, GS Wood (certain models), Kenmore, Lochinvar, Maytag, Mor-Flo, Reliance, Rheem, Richmond, Rudd, Sears, State, Whirlpool and all water heaters manufactured after 1994. The replacement element must be the same voltage and wattage as the element being replaced. Never exceed the nameplate rating on the water heater.

This element was used to replace an old and failed element in our water heater. It was a perfect fit and it works wonderfully. I installed it and have been using it for about 3 weeks now. No problems at all. I recommend this brand as a top notch replacement.

Item works well. Installed easily. No leaks. Heats up water fast. Installed in a Bradford White 2006 model.

This element would not screw-in properly. I bought a different element, and it worked perfectly. QA issue is my guess. It's supposed to have a 5 year warranty... let's see if they stand behind it.

I have this wired into a RIMS for brewing. Running on 120v it takes a little longer than I'd like to heat up for strike, but it does it without scorching.
