I like the wide variety of blades this tool comes with.But the blades are rough ground. They need precise dressing to cut cleanly without pulling grain up and chipping the edge you apply it to.Be prepared to polish and refine the cutting edges to get a clean cut. Definitely set depth for shaving cuts, don't try to cut full depth in a single setting with a complex tool profile.Also ensure you are not cutting against the grain, always cut with it or overlapping it.Patience and attention to detail will reward you with old school professional results that is super simple to achieve.

We DIY a lot, and thought this will be awesome for small things like picture/painting frames. It is fine with when using on softer wood, but with hard boards like mahogany - it's a pain and doesn't leave a smooth surface. I think the cutter should have more aggressive angle for those.Overall - I think it deserves 3 stars. Be careful if you work with hard wood, this might not be for you.The built in level is a useless gimmick- I would prefer the product didn't have it and cost less.
