This was a gift for my son that was in his wish list. He knows his tools and was thrilled to get these! Packaged nicely and arrived quickly. Highly recommend.

Product was as discribed. Having the addtional inserts is a good feature. Great value.

I've only had the lathe tools for a short time, but I'm completely satisfied with them so far. They were very well packaged also.

Delivery was quick on time as of usage I have not had a lot of time to use this set of tools yet but I am sure it will work just as good as the other set I have .

This is good if you are just getting into machine work and found out tooling is expensive. I got it to replace a few of my cheaper tool holders that I had to modify for different projects. I generally use larger holders but sometimes need these to get the job done.

For most of my work on a lathe, I use triangular inserts. They work well and serve most purposes. But from time to time, trapezoidal inserts come my way and I have wished for a set of tool holders to make use of them. These holders work well and the inserts that come with them are decent quality and cut well without excessive wear. As a set, the one thing that I would wish for is that it came with both right-handed and left-handed holders. (This, of course, would increase the cost of the set, but would greatly improve the usefulness of the set at the same time.)The boring bar doesn't quite fit into a 1/2" hole without interference. This is exacerbated by the mounting screw being long enough to stick out of the bottom of the holder. This can be addressed by taking a deep cut on the first pass or by fudging things and cutting high at the first few passes. (Suboptimal geometry for the insert but it gets the job done...) Though of course, you could start your boring operations with a 9/16" hole and then all will be well.I like the internal and external threading inserts. I don't do a lot of single pointing threading but a recent project needed this and these inserts and tool holders served very well.
