I used Columbia bunting suits on my son until he was 2 and now my twin girls are wearing them too. They are warm and cozy but thin enough for their car seats. Also good for layering under a thicker snowsuit for those really cold snow days. The hood is slighting elasticized so it’s not always blowing down.Colours and patterns are so cute! We get lots of compliments and they wash very well.

This is the second time I've bought a Columbia bunting, and I'm sad that my child will likely outgrow the sizing next year. They are great for fall /spring days, perfect under a muddy buddy for wet days, and my child can put it on all on his own. The sizes are generous, especially if you don't need to fold over the feet. I purchased the 18-24 mon size for almost 3 year old (35 in tall, 32lbs). Added bonus that they are considered car seat safe when sized appropriately!

Bought 6-12 month size and it fit for almost two winter seasons. With the fold up cuffs you can get additional wear out of it. Was my go to fleece for winter months for my 8 month old and used daily. Was thick and kept her warm with some base layers underneath. Held up will with frequent washing and drying.

I’d never purchased a bunting for my older kids, but since my youngest has to go along for all the school pickups, etc rain or shine I thought I should have something extra warm for her on cold cold days. This little suit has been great! It’s easy to get her in quickly over whatever she’s wearing and it’s not so heavy/puffy so she still fits in her car seat. The bright bear print is adorable. She is 8 mo, 17 lb and has been wearing the 6-12mo size and it works well with a little room.

Wanted a thinner bunting suit that baby could wear while being in the car seat. This was perfect weight and kept baby warm (along with covers and such). Fit as expected and love that the feet and hands fold over to cover her up.Will be ordering next size up to last all winter!

I bought this fleece one piece bunting for my young lad to wear to, from and in the car so that he’s not going out without a snowsuit during our Canadian winters.It’s perfect and soft. I love that the hands fold over for an extra cover over small mitts for the days it takes the car longer to warm up.You can’t go wrong with this.

We love this for our son, but he grew out of it very quickly. Wishing I would have sized up. He grew out of it around 7-8 months old, when I was hoping it would last until 12 months.

I love this! My little boy seems very cosy in it and it looks great. The fold over hands and feet are really useful-much easier than trying to get booties to stay on. I wish they made one in my size!

Edit 2: I have had this suit for 10 years and used it on 3 little boys for at least 2 winters apiece. It held up beautifully and I only started having a tiny bit of trouble with the zipper coming off the bottom track on the 3rd kid. It was easily fixed by sewing a little higher up on the bottom of the zipper. I plan to donate it now as my kids are all too big for it and I believe it would be durable enough for another 2-3 kids at least.EDIT 1: After having this suit all winter and spring, I'd adjust my original review to say that you should probably order the next size up. My son is now about a year old and the 18 month size fits him well. It's a little big in a few places (the sleeves are a bit long for him and the hood sometimes goes over his eyes) but 18 month is the right size for him now and he is still exactly average weight and height according to his doctor. However, as he was born at the end of winter, it could always be a problem with him being in-between winter sizes so if your child was born in the spring, summer, or fall, it might be a different story.Original Review:I bought this suit for my son, who was 10 months at the time. Tons of reviews said that since it was fleece that it shrank in the wash and it ran small so order big. Well, I ordered the 18 mo size and wish I'd just ordered the 12. I can roll up the sleeves and it fits him okay, but staying true to size would have been better. Don't listen to other reviewers about that unless your child is big for his/her age. My son is exactly average in weight and height according to his doctor.Be aware that if you use this in a car seat that it is very warm and can cause sweating if your vehicle has had a chance to warm up or if you use a carrier car seat that is already warm from the house. This product is better suited for use in a car with a leave-in convertible seat that is cold from being outside in the vehicle. Just be aware that your baby could get pretty hot in this thing (it works so well!) if you're not using it in the right conditions.Overall, I would highly recommend this product. It would fit him great if I'd ordered the right size, it did not shrink in the wash as far as I could tell, it keeps baby very warm without adding a lot of bulk (which is dangerous in a car seat) and I will definitely order another in a bigger size (but his true size!) for next winter.
