The Pluma is an extraordinary fin that makes the most of molding technology previously used only on the Cressi hi-tech models designed specifically for free diving and scuba diving. The Pluma uses the same Cressi patented construction system of molding three different materials to give high performance, extreme lightness, easy fining, and comfort. The blade is made from light and reactive polypropylene. The blade is very-energetic and has snappy rebound. Two side supporting grooves and ribbing on the bottom of the blade allow progressive and controlled bending. The result is powerful, fluid and untiring kick. The foot pocket extends along the bottom of the blade to give protection during fining even in shallow water and near rocks. The foot pocket is made from soft thermo-rubber and the computer-designed shape offers great comfort as well as making the fins suitable for long use. The entire sole is made hard and comes with large non-slip inserts, for total protection of the foot and for excellent transmission of the leg-fin effort.

Grabbed last minute for a trip to Bimini to film during Shark week. Usually wear longer fins for free diving, but these were great in a pinch.

They fit well for me at least and some how seem to firmly attach the blade to your foot. For reference I typically wear a 10.5 US boot size and ordered the 10/11 version. They feel good in the water and give you good control with lots of thrust. I am used to using shorty training fins so this is a new feeling for me. The fins are long 63cm and now I have to get creative to haul them on my moto to the pool.

So comfortable (for wider feet).I've always preferred a closed foot fin, but after a few dives I get red marks on the sides of my toes from being smushed. This is definitely a wider foot fin. After 17 dives in 10 days, these are incredibly comfortable (however beware anyone with narrow feet). I love these. However caveats:This is more of a snorkeling fin. VERY flexible. so someone who has trouble finning in hard currents would get nowhere with these in a dive setting. These are great for surface snorkeling, and strong divers who tend to fin faster than the group.Slower swimmers need more rigid fins than this.Also definitely agree with all the reviews about sizing down. I had to re-order a second pair on 1 day shipping as ordering my typical size ended up being too big.Also last note, the rigid bottom makes it a bit hard to get up a boat ladder with full gear. After literally slipping right off the ladder in choppy water as a result of what the boat crew called my slippery fins, i had to modify my approach to compensate :) With all this though, I still don't regret the purchase!
