Now's the time to put your vinyl records back into your listening rotation. The DP-29F includes a built-in RIAA phono equalizer to hook it up to your system through a standard analog connection. The DP-29F has been precision manufactured with rigid diecast aluminum to produce uniform inertial mass for perfectly stable turntable rotation, an essential component of high fidelity sound during playback. The turntable employs an automated system that starts playing the record with the single touch of a button and finishes play at the end of the record by returning the tone arm to its original position and stopping turntable rotation. This system ensures that you do not inadvertently scratch your records when you play them. There is also a manual lifter mechanism that allows you to place the needle on the record wherever you want, so you can skip to a song in the middle of a side. The DP-29F includes a built-in phono equalizer to connect the unit to an integrated amp that does not have its own equalizer. This turntable is powered by a DC servo motor and belt drive system and operated at the 33 1/3 or 45 rpm speed. It comes with an MM cartridge so that you can begin to enjoy your analog record collection as soon as you connect the DP-29F to your home hi-fi system. I wanted an economical turntable so my wife and I could listen to a collection of old albums we have. So far this turntable has been excellent. We cannot believe how good it works and sounds.

J'ai été Extrêmement satisfait de ma table tournante Denon DF-29 F !... la qualité de son est Digne du matériel audiophile !!... une seule minuscule reproche, un bras manuel pour lever le bras de lecture aurait été pratique !... je donne 5 étoiles sur 5 !

I was totally surprised at how bad this turntable is considering it is a Denon product. Although I got it at a reduced price, it still was not worth what I paid.After assembling and connecting (connecting is problematic - see below), the turntable speed was excessive no matter what I tried. I tried to play 2 new LP records, Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" and Queens "Greatest Hits". Both sounded like performances by the chipmunks.OK so maybe I simply got a rare defective unit, BUT here are some added things to be aware if you are considering this turntable.1) The only output is a short RCA cable hardwired to the back inside, instead of having female RCA output connectors that would let you use any length of RCA cable to accommodate any distance between the turntable and your receiver amplifier. Shocker - POOR design.2) Even if your receiver/amp is close to the turntable, the output RCA cable is a cheap cable (non-gold connectors), that will not prevent loss of audio quality.3) You are restricted to one type of cartridge. Although it is changeable, it is only with the same type, as a replacement.The only real pro, if you happen to get a unit that otherwise works, is it's small footprint that allows it to be placed in small areas.I have returned my unit and will be paying a higher price for a worthwhile replacement.

Daughter wanted a turntable as she's and her brother have opted to take over my old record collection. He has my old turntable so she needed one. Now she can listen to old vinyl. I never thought I'd end up buying a turntable in the 21st Century but wonders do never cease...This works fabulously. Recommended.

This turntable arrived in the mail, and all of my troubles were over.It'll feel a little cheap at first, the start and stop buttons don't really give you a solid amount of feedback when you press them. The spring loaded top isn't great if you want to put this in a shelving unit... However, everything works great after a few months, absolutely no complaints. I wasn't looking for something ridiculously good, I was looking for a good balance of price and value. This is it!
