1/ transitions are done very poorly, the onboard chip does not utilize the diversity of colours2/ the product pic doesn't represent the transitions, many mixed colours are missing, and those on the pic are not present3/ the transitions seem to be random and do not follow any patterns, so younger kids who expect to see their favourite colours at certain moments, will not see them; also between the 3 colours RGB, frequently the next colour comes on after the previous has already faded, do sometimes there are no transitions at all4/ but that's not the worst part. The worst part is the lens is clear, but for this particular application it should be diffused, otherwise, transitions those that do exist are not well litSo overall, I expected more. Shame, the idea is good, but the implementation is not thought through. Very disappointed and you may be, too. Better, look for something else.

They don't flip fron one color to another but slowingly transition from one color to another, so they won't be inducing seizures in anybody, which is a good thing :-).I'll be using them in making some glowing jewelry.

I need to replace a LED multicolor for a Xmas decoration, the LED really simple, no need to add resistor, I put 3V (2 AAA), also try 4V with 18650, all work fine, the LED slowly change light which is what I want.I measure amp, about 13ma for red and up to 40ma for blue so internally LED surely has limiting resistor.I am amaze that I don't need to have Arduino integration, the LED builtin micro does the job of slowly changing the color which is really nice.For 100 LED price is also reasonable.

This is a cool component, it has an ic on the inside that controls each led separately, all packed into a 5mm normal led casing that just looks like an ordinary led. These are good for when you don't want to use a separate microcontroller to just fade and flash between red green and blue, all you need to do is provide power and it works.
