Upon arrival the battery that was installed in the caliper was dead. Thankfully it came with two additional batteries. No major slop in the caliper and measures fairly accurately. Can't really beat it for the price.

After using for a few months it started to hang when the jaws closed and opened. Eventually the jaws wouldn't open without a lot of pressure so I removed the slide to find a piece of tape that was jamming it. When i reassembled it, the digital display would not work so the tool is now useless.

it was accurate for the first 10 or 15 uses, not it is very out of wack and even removing the batter and resetting it will not fix the issue.it now thinks 18mm is like 11mm

Being a retired tradesman, I have used this type of measuring tool many, many times before and this one gets my approval. Having a thumb wheel is nice along with the locking screw which is a must when measuring. Accuracy seems very good and having the ZERO button prior to measurement and being made of metal, is a plus. Also, extra batteries included. Worth the few extra dollars for sure.Recommended A++

I am a graduate (Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Precision Instruments, circa 1987, Canada).The ownership of the first operational digital calipers, for essential measurements (machine shop accuracies), originally retailed for about $300Consider this a bargain!.I appreciate the timely design/technological improvements (many years later), as a product, culminating with a robust (stainless steel, not all plastic) accurate functional measuring tool.For my requirements, this excels in an affordable package.I am not disappointed with this investment.For those unaccustomed/uninitiated, the instructions provided are sufficient. There are many relevant online resources available for usage. Delivered includes a hardshell plastic case and extra battery, cool factor!A great affordable purchase, 5*****, would recommend!
