The Ogdni Dobro Tailpiece is a low cost but reasonably faithful reproduction tailpiece for Dobro style guitars.While browsing Amazon I was somewhat shocked to see this tailpiece appear. I never would have thought such an item would be here so never actively looked. I have a 1929 National TriCone resonator guitar on which the tailpiece broke some years ago. I've been wanting to have the guitar restored at the new National Co but lack of $$$ has put that on hold. Seeing this tailpiece and triple checking the product description and dimensions I figured why not give it a try as I really miss playing my old friend.The tailpiece arrived in a few days and I was impressed with just how closely it is to an original (my photos show the broken original). Not the same material of course but it should be ok until I can upgrade.With just a small amount of filing of the mount hole I was able to fit the new tailpiece to the guitar and found the angle and spacing to be very close to original so stringing should not be a problem.I have to make some new gaskets and do a few other repairs before tensioning of strings but I'm quite optimistic that this will work fine for the interim.

Decent tailpiece with good finish - should work fine for a Dobro or other acoustic guitar. The only down side is the extended section below the mounting hole. This will most likely hit the strap button if one is installed. Filing down the extension should solve the problem. Recommended
