As we were walking out Golden Doodle we happen to start talking with another owner of a Golden Doodle. We discussed how "hound like" Golden Doodles are and how difficult is was to train them, running after leaves, chasing other people walking and while walking with a leash the pulling force of our 1.5yr old Golden Doodle was like trying to walk a horse. My kids can't even walk him. This individual recommended this training device. We found it on Amazon and ordered it. So far the results have been promising but time will tell. We just want to be able to walk our dog with easy. My kids just want to be able to walk our dog with ease. We are hopeful that this training device will help. We are following the included training instructions which came with the device. Fingers crossed.

My dog is a hound dog and he loves to look out the window like itās tv and bark at people š¤¦āāļø It drives me crazy and most people are okay with it but itās not good and itās just too much barking.Heās a good guard dog and I donāt want to stop him from barking all the time, just tone it down when the meter guy or a friend comes by.This has successfully broken the cycle with him and Iām really happy that I didnāt even need to use the shock function. The vibrate on it is really strong and it surprised him the first time I used it. I switched it to the beeping and he jumped off the couch and started biting his bum instead of barking lol šNow even one beep generally quiets him down and itās SO nice. His biggest barking trigger was garbage and recycling day and heād wake me up early two days every week (they come at like 7 am š). The big trucks stopping in front of my house drove him mental and ruined my morning.Iām pretty sure that it didnāt make the day of the garbage men!I took the remote to bed with me and it works from my bedroom even if my door is closed I can hear it beep through the door but I donāt hear my dog barking šš»šš»š„°Itās sturdy and has a little light on the collar, so I can see my dog when heās outside (which is good because heās got dark colouring). One of my favourite features is that the charger works as two in one, I can charge the collar and remote at the same time. It is on one plug in that splits into two chargers so itās easy to keep track of the chargers instead of hunting for them. The collar needs to be charged a bit more than the remote, it lasted for 5 days of pretty heavy use before I had to charge it for the first time. The remote still hasnāt needed a charge.Itās easy to adjust all the levels and I can keep the voltage level on 00 while the vibration is on 99 and know no matter what I wonāt accidentally shock my dog š¶My dog is a lot more relaxed for wearing this and so am I!! Sturdy and humane, comfortable for him to wear and beeping isnāt loud.

First off the vibration mode should be the main focus of getting your pups attention and it fails miserably, it has no strength to it all. Second, the moment the remote goes to sleep (which isn't long) the collar turns off and you have to turn the power on on the collar again by pressing and holding the power button while dealing with a not so happy puppy who just got shocked. Three it actually brought out aggression that was not present before (biting yes from teething and playing but not actual aggression) so it actually made things worse not better and she still kept tearing clothes and jumping on counters, after I took it off, my puppy actually refused to come to me, treats didn't even work so I spent the rest of the night reastablishing our bond. I've been using other painless methods now and she has responded well to those without breaking our bond. So no I dont recommend it.

First off - this is a negative reinforcement device, it should *not* be used for training your dog to do tricks, as that should be done with positive reinforcement (like treats). Now, assuming you have a stubborn dog like mine who enjoys barking at her older brother at midnight when she doesn't get her way, this may help...I have a 23lb shiba inu who will sometimes bark at night time when she gets excited. By simply using the vibrate feature when she does this and saying "no", this has so far limited any barking behaviour indoors while the collar is on. I've never had to use the shock feature, but I tested it on myself, and it's a lot like one of those electrical muscle stimulator pads you would put on yourself that make the muscles twitch on their own. The shock is very short, and I tested level 5 on myself. The shock looks like it would be effective if immediate correction was necessary, like trying to eat something from the street they shouldn't, but so far I've found the vibration more than satisfactory.
