I thought it was a joke when I opened it up and it was just a wood beater with a fleece sock. But, it really kicks ass. If I were handier with a needle I might try to make socks like this and just use those over some of my other beaters. The wood beater in this kit is actually really nice and I really am impressed with what it does with the sock on.

no sound difference on vdrums at all even with the cloth cover. can still be heard just like any other beater . returning.

I play dw pedals and love the standard 101 beater that comes with the 5000/9000. You get felt and plastic in one balanced beater. However I still needed that wool beater sound and started researching options. I found this and immediately ordered it! Every gigging or session drummer should have a back up beater. Now I wanted the back up for a just incase, but also wanted more sound options. Now what makes this wool beater stand apart from other brands is you can remove the wool, and now you have a solid maple wood beater!! So now when I gig I use my standard 101 beater, and have this as my backup/extra options beater! I now have four sound options for my kick drum by carrying only 2 beaters. The 101 beater (Felt, plastic) and this beater (solid wood, and wool)! As a drummer, having lots of sound options, with less to carry in the stick bag is what I look for. So here ya go get this and have the options with the convenience! Also don’t forget you get the added beater shaft weight included to dial in your feel. You won’t get that feature from the other wool beater options out there either!

Tengo varios head beaters pero este ha sido mi favorito incluso por encima del vicfirth y vater con las mismas especificaciones vintage, ya que el de da más Toño que ataque, y es justo lo que buscaba.
