While I'm not a camper by trade, this seems like a great product. Inflates in 10 breaths or less. Light weight and compresses to a small size. This was a summer time camping trip so didn't get tested with cooler ground temps, but I'm sure it would insulate well. Very comfy and the multiple cells irons out uneven bumps. Seems well manufactured. And when squirming around in your sleeping bag, it does not make any noise, not like some of my camping mates conventional long cell inflatable mattresses - I think the hex cells help in this regard. No need to spend big bucks when this works just fine. One minor comment which may be applicable for those needing a larger footprint for the mattress, it is a little narrow, but was fine for my single person tent. Highly recommended!

Due to the circumstances I haven't been able to test it out fully, however, the company reached out to check in on their product so I reached in my camp bag and to check out their inflatable sleeping mat.The good- Inflated in 8 breaths. Very nice. Being 5'10 165lb it held my butt off the cement floor and my extremities on the mat in the coffin position. Nice. Could feel no chill or hardness of the unforgiving cold floor. Laying on my side there was slight contact on my hip. Being cement and not semi firm earth I'll take it. It was rather comfortable, didn't slip when I jostled or pop when I transferred my weight to get up. It seems durable and well made. It's very light, at just over 1lb and the length of my forearm I'll gladly carrythis in my pack. The bad- it seems durable and well made but I can't be certain how many nights it will hold up without proper testing. They didn't include any patches which tells me they believe in their product. Nice. The ugly- It isnt. It's a great looking, good feeling material that I'd be happy to sleep on over the cold floor/earth. My only qualm was getting it to fit properly back into it's tie bag although its probably user error. Had to push down the two way valve whilst rolling it to deflate entirely and that's ok.Suggestions would be a few grid lines to show where to fold and roll. Being able to stow it in its original form and bag without multiple attempts would make me happy. All in all, it held my butt of the cold floor, super comfy, easy to inflate, light weight, good material well made and fits my 5'10 frame with an inch on both ends to spare. As for longevity I hope it lasts longer than a weekend getaway,

After reading many reviews of this item, it was the review of the soldier who used it when deployed for many months that pushed me to make the purchase. I figured if it worked well in the field for such a prolonged period for him, then it would probably suit my needs just fine. I'm not disappointed. Easy to inflate (took me just 8 big breaths. And the interlocking hexagon pattern allows enough pillow pockets interspersed with enough empty spaces to offer a nice consistent cushion effect across the mat. Yes, it is not thick like a 2" air mattress. But I was after something lightweight and compact for hiking/camping. And it is perfectly comfortable despite it's think size. Even during times when I turned on my side during the night I did not feel my hips digging into the ground. So, I'm impressed with this little lightweight mat, and how comfortable it is. For reference, I'm a man who weighs 200 lbs. And it stayed inflated for the 3 days I tested it out (have only had it camping once so far but will use it again a few times this summer) without losing any air. And it has only one valve for inflation/deflation, but I have to admire the clever simplicity of it. There is a simple rubberized flange inside the hole, so when you blow air into it, it opens of its own accord to let in the air, and by the same token it promptly flaps shut once you stop pumping air in, and the air already inside is held tightly. Deflation is simple enough, just poke in the flange and the air escapes quickly enough as you roll it up. Someone thought out the design of this mat very well. No complaints at all here. For such a small kit it does a very good job, punching above its weight so to speak. And yes, it will certainly fit inside your bag (I have a compact, mummy type bag, and it fit fine. But on the second night I preferred to put it outside and lay my bag on top of the mat - only because I'm a hot sleeper and often want to shift around and push off the covering, but with the mat inside my bag it left little room for shifting around (so I really did feel like a mummy at times). Outside and under my bag was more comfortable for me, as it freed up all the room inside my bag for shifting positions if I wanted to, and a little more airflow around me. The outside of my bag is synthetic material, but I did not experience any problem in 'slipping off' the sleeping mat. Would definitely recommend. The other campers I was with were using self-inflating mats, and were having many frustrations, still having to blow air into them to get them to full capacity anyhow. So this definitely seemed like a simpler, more practical, and more lightweight solution. Glad I chose this type.

The Hybern8 is quite comfy for my 5'8" 150# frame...when inflated properly I don't bottom out when side sleeping. Also I like the width...that extra couple of inches you get adds to the overall comfort as you don't feel like you are sleeping on a rail especially whenside sleeping. This pad is easy to inflate (about 12 puffs) and is equally easy to quickly deflate completely and can be rolled or folded into a small package for storing. I actually really like its 2.2 inch thickness as it allows my arms to hang off the pad at more comfortable angles- but that's me! Finally the pad is reasonably light and is durably constructed and should work well for late spring thru early fall backpacking pending an individuals particular needs...I am sure for me this pad will suffice in early spring thru fall conditions in Utahs high country.

This pad is amazing. Just can't say enough great things about it.It inflates with exactly 6 breaths - much fewer than other inflatable pads out there.Comfort-wise, it's comparable to a much higher-end thermarest type pad - the double thickness ones that run hundreds of dollars - and it's a fraction of the price and deflates down to nothing in a couple of seconds. The material isn't going to stand up to prolonged contact with sharp objects, but it's made of a thick enough vinyl type material that I don't worry about accidentally puncturing it if it's set on the ground. The shape is a little weird, but I like it - cuts down further on space and weight, and if you're in a mummy bag you're restricted to the same shape anyways.I've used it kayaking, backpacking, and regular camping. I used to bring a thick foam pad along when I had the space/weight available, but this little guy makes that unnecessary.
