Be careful when assembling, as the direction say you should drop the two sections on concrete to get them to join together, preferably within something like a piece of PVC pipe. I rushed the process and ended up, snapping the first one in half.

We received a hand me down rocket kit that hadn't been built but was missing some pieces. We received this rod, and after a few quick taps on the patio cement, it was ready to go. Be sure to tap it on the cement as suggested, the two pieces go right together, much easier than trying to push(which doesn't work). An hour later, we had our first successfully launch. The kids loved it.
