The serrated backing prevents the nut from loosening. I have this installed on my TT02 and so far I haven't lost a wheel nut yet. These nuts grip onto the rim pretty tightly and doesn't back out. I would recommend these nuts on any 10th scale car.

These are great lock nuts but I'm of two minds about them.First and foremost, they are well-made M4 flanged lock nuts that use both a nylon insert and a textured metal flange to prevent loosening over time. They also have a beautiful black finish. So, in those respects, they are excellent.Since they are intended for niche applications (like remote-control car building), they are fabricated from aluminum rather than steel. This is a natural choice for RC racing, since aluminum's lower density enables faster acceleration and its corrosion resistance is well-suited for outdoor use. So, for niche applications like RC racing, the material choice is also excellent. That said, at their current price (C$21.99 for a 10-pack; C$2.20/nut), I consider these lock nuts to be quite expensive. Though specialty hardware almost always involves a premium price, $2.20 for each small lock nut seems to be a high premium indeed.Overall, these lock nuts are excellent mechanically and in terms of their finish. However, I'd only recommend them for niche applications (like RC racing), not general-purpose ones, given their relatively high cost. Despite their great physical properties, I've deducted a star due to their high unit price.
