the calipers arrived frozen. They would not open even with great force applied . i was going to return them , but lost a small part and its not worth the trouble of driving 80 miles to drop them off.

I have bought quite a few Faithfull tools and generally been impressed with them. This caliper is not one of their best efforts however. It maintains the position set which is the most important thing, but the edges of the arms were quite sharp and I used an oilstone to take the edge off them. The point as supplied was blunt and needed sharpening before use. The knurling on the clamping nut was of disappointingly poor quality.For occasional hobby use, it is adequate but otherwise I would not recommend it.
