Water hose? Yep, I've found no reason not to use common 1/4 or 3/8 air hose for my smaller watering needs around the yard (it already has a drip irrigation system to handle the daily work), I just need to be sure to avoid steel fittings. Air hose is so much lighter to move around and is much easier to coil up when done. This stainless valve and connector were perfect for building a new hose: the quick connector on the inlet end, the valve on the outlet end, combined with a 1/4 to 3/4 GHT fitting. Voila!

This valve is exactly as described. It feels like good quality. The finish appears to be chrome plated. The valve operation is stiff, but not too bad for the handle. Turning range is 90°. Teflon tape is included .
