Fun to collect all these new paper doll books and they are a super great way to teach a child about the history of fashion, plus a great idea book of design for the inspired seamstress! HIGHLY RECOMMEND all these paper doll books. Thanks Amazon!

Godey's fashions were all the rage during the 1800's, this one ranges from the 60's to 70's and hosts a series of beautiful dresses and accessories which are clearly labeled for one of the two dolls included with this lovely book. As with most I buy it is not intended for children and does not have easy punchout dresses or dolls, everything has to be carefully cut out by hand. The fashions are exquisite and cover everything from housedresses and day dresses to ball gowns and wedding gowns. The details are exquisite and the colors are magnificent. My only caveat is that I wish the dresses were printed on cardstock as well rather then high quality glossy paper. Other than that I find this book absolutely lovely and extremely useful and read and re-read the descriptions included for each dress plate. Dover does a great job with these wonderful Fashion doll books and I will probably continue purchasing more as they come available or as I find them. I simply love them and use them as fashion guides for writing and dress making of my own.

ce livre est très bien fait tant qu'au niveau des photos ainsi que des coiffures et des couleurs ça nous donne une idée de ce que portaient les dames de cette époque
