Being from Southern New England ice fishing hasn’t been very doable for a few years, but this year has gotten back on track. So lacking gear I purchased this little kit. For the price it was a great way to get started. Has some basic jigs. The real isn’t anything special but it works and surprisingly well. The rod comes with 2 tip sections incase you damage one.the scoop works ok. The only problem is that the seat is about tall enough for my 2 year old granddaughter. But for the money it is a good deal.

Last minute purchase to go ice fishing with my son. Main reason for purchase was the convenience of next day delivery to my house.Pros:Rod and all lures are great!Does the job, caught many panfish!Cons:Chair is too small, too flimsy. Unless it's for a small child.Comes with cheap oversized fishing line that gets tangled because it's just too much for such a small reel.( I respooled it with higher quality, thin 4 lbs test )Conclusion: still worth it, does the job!

Everything you need to get on the ice to start fishing, except bait and an ice auger.All the items fit in a small backpack, and worked great.A perfect little kit if you want to test whether ice fishing is for you. Inexpensive and complete.

The Gonex Ice Fishing Rod Reel Medium Light Combo is a well made ice fishing rod in my book. The tackle is what you'd expect from a kit like this, not the best quality but it's a nice addition for beginners and will certainly work. My review is based mostly on the rod and reel, as I haven't used the tackle yet. I also replaced the fishing line (with 6lb test) before taking it out, which I would also recommend you do!The medium-light action rod is my preferred rod for ice fishing. It offers a good balance of power for landing medium to light fish while still being sensitive enough to feel subtle nibbles. The reel is smooth, with reliable drag and a solid feel. The pole felt well balanced and is very comfortable to hold. I'm no expert angler by any means, so take what I say with a grain of salt but i'm hard pressed to find anything to complain about with this combo. The folding stool is quite small and not much more than a leg stand, so don't expect much in that regard.I went out ice fishing with this rod for the first time a week or so ago mainly going for crappie and walleye, and the first fish I caught was a ~4lb 24" Pike (not a monster by any means, but a solid test for this rod/reel combo.) It put up quite a fight and this rod and reel combo punched way above its weight in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised with its performance! I would pay this price for just the rod and reel alone. Well worth the cost.

Vraiment TRÈS mauvaise qualité ! On dirait un kit pour enfant ! C'est ridicule sérieusement ! On dirait que la canne à pêche vient d'un magasin à dollar !Je ne conseil pas du tout a moins que ça soit pour votre enfant de 10 ans !
