I used these socks for my average sized 10 year old who plays soccer and they have worked well for him. They are thick enough to feel nice quality, comfortable, and long enough.

Great soccer socks. After washing they still look great and have great compression. They fit well for the age group described and are definitely a great value.

My son loves the colors. He likes the feel of the texture and how cool they feel in the warm weather. However, we have only had them for a couple of days, and he has lost a few pairs due to snagging and ripping. He doesn't even play strenuous sports. He just likes having his legs covered, and these snagged while hanging around the house.If just one pair were destroyed, I would have four or five stars for these since I believe that occasional mishaps happen. But as we lost the orange, green, and red ones, this seems to be a fabric issue.In short, I would have bought them again due to their colors, texture, and fit, but I won't because they fall apart quickly.
