It is simple and cheap and seems fairly robust. The problem is that the reading can change a lot depending on how you grip it. If I squeeze near the dial I can get 35 kg. If I squeeze at the far end I only get 5 kg. this is because the reading depends on how much the handle moves at the end where the dial is. The result is that I really have no idea how strong my grip is. I will try to be consistent in my grip and see whether I improve. I can't compare my grip with tables showing what it should be. That's the best that can be done with this device.
