I ordered these to install a pergola on the surface of an existing deck. The deck surface is Nexan's aluminum (not meant to bear the weight of the pergola) so I needed hanger bolts to pernitrate the deck surface and anchor on a wooden reinforcement structure underneath. I first considered zinc-plated and galvanized ones but was advised by Bing Chat that they would rust in a few years given the harsh Canadian weather. I then ordered these bolts, and the project turned out extremely well! The only suggestion I would give to other users is that you'd better apply some anti-cease compound to the tread, to make it easier to disassemble, if you ever need to do so.
