After using wooden handle tools for years, and occaisionally making the effort to maintain the finish I had come to realize that over time, the handles always degrade, become rough, loose their initial finish, weaken and break when asked to do some heavy work. This fiberglass handled tool will go the distance without a doubt. It is also much easier to use than a heavier wooden handled tool. I may coat it with some exterior epoxy to ensure the finish remains smooth (fiberglass splinters can be a bummer if the fiberglass is allowed to weather outside for a long time). I was sooooo impressed and pleasantly surprised when I used this to turn one of our compost piles. It was so much easier than the (not so old) wodden handled fork I had been using and which had started to crack in the handle. If you need one of these forks, I can recommend this one without hesitation.

I used it several times, and it seems very solid. My only pick is the forks are sharp edged in the bottom and I needed to take a grinder to them so it can slide easier on the wood floor.

The fork is well built. Always wanted a large one to spread bark mulch.

It has substance. Well constructed and has heft. Solid product. Doesn’t feel like a toy.

This is perfect for large amounts of mulch. It digs in better than a shovel and it picks up way more than a pitch fork. It is heavy and a little short but that makes it a better workout!

I am using this fork for picking up horse manure in the pasture. It needs to be very strong to work the droppings out of grass. Some still falls between the prongs but it is more effective for this purpose than any other I have tried. The information provided on Amazon would have been more helpful if it included dimensions, but it is a normal sized for a manure fork. My wife says it is too heavy for her.
