I’ve been using pole saws for 60 years—that makes me an old person with experience—and the Hosku pole saw works perfectly fine.I don’t understand why people have complaints. There’s no need to lean on the pole to exert more force. You’ll only bend the pole. Use a bit of an angle, use a short stroke to create a kerf then use a longer stroke and let the weight of the pole dictate the speed of the cutting. Don’t wiggle the pole lest the blade wobble. It’s technique not brute strength. The factory blade works fine. If you need a more aggressive blade, try the Samurai Ichigeki C-331-LH 13" Curved Saw Blade. There’s no need for ratchet wrenches and lock washers to attach the saw blade. The factory supplies nyloc nuts which have a plastic insert to stop vibration loosening the nuts. If it’s good enough for airplanes flying in the sky, it’s good enough for a pole saw on the ground. Use the factory Allen key and wrench to tighten. If you’re doing lots of sawing every day, periodically check the nuts. If you're paranoid, use a dab of Loctite. This is a dedicated saw so I leave the saw blade assembled to its section.I lightly wiped the threads of each section with WD40 so it would be easier to disassemble. I hand tightened the sections and nothing ever comes loose.

I have a problem with squirrels invading my balcony, courtesy of a too close tree, and this saw made pretty quick work of the sacrificed branches. Odd angles and a extra flexible branches were not an issue. I got the 10ft. Easy to put together and easy to take apart. We'll see how it holds up over time, but it feels decent enough. No prints in the snow shows the cute little devils didn't make it over after the tree surgery.

Easy to use and change handle length. Blade is a little flimsy, very sharp. Well worth the money.

I have a need for a 14 foot pole saw and the price was right Oct 2024. Assembly of short stainles rods went well. Colour assembly sheet was good. The saw was good quality stainless and tolerances are tight.3 stainless metric bolts and nuts supplied and a need for two. L shaped allen key supplied along with a stamped wrench with 2 sizes for the nut. I sould have used a common nail to align the 2 pieces.I got out a 1 / 4 socket wrench with a 10 cm socket to finish the assembly. Flat wrench was just ok.The bolt needed the allen key supplied. A dead small branch down in seconds. Deserves a 5 star.

This worked wonders for our tree, the handle extends and it’s still very sturdy, the blade is sharp and made the process much easier! Highly recommend

Didn't expect the handle to be stainless steel but also seemingly higher grade than the blade. Magnet will stick to the blade, and not the handle.Saws quickly, and not overly heavy when using out at full extension.

Overall an impressive product, comparable to what the pros use, and cleverly broken down into a shipping package so compact your first reaction will be that they sent you the wrong item! Once you overcome your surprise, the assembly is straightforward and clearcut --- except for the teeny weeny tools they include for fastening the blade to the main shaft. Seriously? Instead of using lockwashers, the supplied nuts have an insert which makes them MUCH harder to torque down than a regular nut! The attached photo shows the professional grade tools I used to install the blade. For a 100% safe result. And, because this is not mentioned at all in the directions, I deducted a star.

Great product, I have used it on big trees and Washingtonian Palm Trees. It did the job expected but make sure you know how to handle it at 10 ft long as it gets harder to handle specially with Washingtonians

I have been staring at dead branches up in my cottonwood trees for years and finally decided to do something about it. Every year I have removed as many dead branches as I could reach using my 6-foot step ladder and a hand saw, but I have not been able to reach anything above 10 or 11 feet. This saw has solved that problem. Rather than spend a hundred dollars (or much more) on a gas or electric chain saw attached to a long pole that I would use infrequently, I found this saw on Amazon for about thirty bucks. It's not mechanized so it does require some effort on the part of the user, but not too much effort. For example, I used it for close to an hour and didn't even break a sweat. It saws easily and makes a nice clean cut. I cut dozens of branches and small limbs up to 6" in diameter that were between 10 and 21 feet above ground - the highest ones requiring the use of my step ladder. The hook at the end of the saw is extremely useful for breaking off brittle branches (no sawing required) and for dislodging cut branches that get hung up in the tree. The saw and its 10-foot pole is very lightweight and quite maneuverable -- I had no absolutely no trouble controlling it, even while standing on the 5th rung of my 6-foot step ladder. Assembly was simple. I had it all together is less than 5 minutes and the blade is not wobbly at all, despite what some reviewers reported. I have to believe that the reviewers who complained about a wobbly blade or the pole coming apart during use didn't put it together correctly. This is the first pole saw I have owned, and I must say that I am very impressed with this one. I cut enough dead wood out of my cottonwood trees in less than an hour to completely fill my full-size pickup truck, and then some. Had I hired a professional tree trimmer, I'm sure I would have been presented with a bill for several hundred dollars. For $30 and an hour of my time, I did the job instead. I think this is good pole saw for the average homeowner, especially considering its low cost compared to other pole saws.
