I stow my trolling motor with the propeller to the outside. This bracket will only allow you to exit the cable on one side. I had to modify mine slightly to be able to exit the other side. Reason for doing this is that the cable will get crushed when the trolling motor is deployed. I am not aware of them making a bracket for starboard side mounted trolling motors. It was very easy to modify and did not take away any rigidity
