The whole inside is felt lined. It feels solid and its simple to use. I purchased this for my daughter to use while at college so she can keep her personal stuff safe and Private in her room. The texture is nice and does not feel like it will peel off or scratch easily. Its a bit larger than the useless one at Harbor Freight and built WAY better. Money well spent IMO.

I recently started my own business in rmd and thought would be nice to have a safe. Thank god i picked this one out of so many. The quality feels much nicer than the ones I saw in the local store. And the fact it comes with the override keys and the mounting kit is also a plus. Very nicely crafted to have my docs protected.
