Replaced previous diverter that started sticking after about 2 years. The replacement started sticking almost immediately and was fully stuck within weeks of usage. Flawed design, or installation issue, I'm not sure.

Replaced the original diverter with this replacement diverter kit. The replacement lasted a little over three years. The original one lasted about the same time. Now I have to buy a third one of this thing to be able to use the shower! Before total failure the diverter also gets harder and harder to use as the push button gets more and more stuck, eventually making it impossible to switch between tub and shower. So, expect a life span of about 3 years for this Kohler part. Great cash cow for the company, but a pain in the butt for the home owner, as you need to remove the escutcheon to get to the diverter, and then need to redo the caulking to prevent water getting in behind into the wall.

The plastic bag that the diverter comes in had been opened and than stabled together. The little sliver piece at the top of the diverter had come off and was not in the bag but floating around in the box it was shipped in and almost got thrown out.

Another failed kohler part after just 4 years. Bad o rings cause sticky valve. Could have purchased just ring kit. But wasn't sure what I was going to find when replacing part out.
