I purchased this lock in order to help my children secure their backpacks at school and it has made a world of difference! The design is brilliant – it’s light weight and strong! Being able to lock the zippers together is useful, and they offer several color choices to make it feel personal.The thing that is impressive is the ease of usage. The 3-digit code is easy to set up and recall while the quick unlatching system is ideal for children as they might have to reach for the bags numerous times throughout the day. Its useful, it’s also long lasting, moreover, it gives my children security without any stress. Strongly suggest this lock for students or any other people who wants to secure their belongings in an easy manner!

Lock seems nice, was easy to use, etc...The TSA cut 1 of my 4 locks. I was told they don't bother using their "master key" and they do not have to.

The numbers should have been printed in a darker color. Numbers are almost transparent which makes it difficult to read dim or low light. Otherwise the lock is good.

Brilliant little padlock. Nice looking easy to set up and strong. Just used on a trip to Mexico after reading review about how good this lock is. It lived up to the review and we have decided to purchase two more .

The product is as described and the entire lock is metal itself which its important. So far, on initial impressions the lock seems to be of good quality and will update my review upon some actual experience with the item itself when I go on some travels. Furthermore, I wish there was a way to communicate which colours you would like with the seller as it seems they just send whatever colours to you. I originally wanted to obtain black locks, but they sent one red and one blue. But otherwise until more experience with the locks, they seem to be of good quality.*Update*This locks were extremely useful for my trip, they worked at every hostel and were of high grade to protect all of my valuables. I highly recommend this product as these locks are heavy duty.

I bought this since my daughter kept getting stuff swiped at school. It's more than enough security for her but is easy enough for her to use. She is 6, I expect a 5-year old could operate it without difficulty after a little bit of practice. It does fit through the holes on the zipper pulls of her backpack; I expect it would fit most backpacks. It's attractive enough and small enough to hide in the side pocket when in use, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The "hasp" is flexible cable, so it will not hang on a hook when it is open, and my daughter did lose one somehow.The lock can be re-clipped to the backpack without actually locking it, which is good and bad, It's good in that it's easy to re-clip / unclip while packing the bag, and can be re-clipped to keep it from getting lost. It's bad since it can be re-clipped and can be mistaken for being locked, but it's not - you need to rotate the combination wheels after clipping to lock it. Note this is no different than a lock on a briefcase or any other similar lock.As others have no doubt noted this is about the lightest duty lock you can get, and is barely more secure than a nylon zip tie. But if that's what you need, this will do the trick. I imagine it would be a convenient way to get a little peace of mind with checked luggage.
