Seems well built and sturdy. However, it does not work well outdoors in grass and uneven terrain. I have a cheap one from North 40 that works way better outside. If your looking for something to work in grass, rock and/or dirt, this is not the magnet for you.

Wider than expected but has tall urethane padded wheels and magnet with pickup close to floor. Definitely great for home office or workshop. Probably not designed for use on lawns or weeds but that’s fine.Only issue is I’d like something narrower for use between equipment, and the price which is way too high.

I have a large 36" mag sweeper already but I was looking for a smaller one to use in my hobby metal shop. This works perfectly on a flat hard floor (I wouldn't even try this on gravel or grass...wheels are too small). Picks up mill chips and grinding dust just fine. Light and easy to release the magnet.

Over this item! We use this in our campsite. It is the perfect size to store in an RV and helps us when my husband is wrenching on out mountain bikes and something always flies off! On gravel RV sites these tiny pieces are impossible to find!

Good tool, good value but some items to note. We recently overhauled the exterior of our barn and this left a lot of old nails in the grass surrounding the barn. Before letting the horses back in the area I purchased this to find and remove the nails before the horses hooves did the job for me.Works as directed but be aware when you are using in grass and hear a nail "pop" to the sweeper you need to manually remove it or it will be brushed off by the grass if you continue to push / sweep. Not a big deal once you get the hang of it and works without issue on hard surfaces...pulling the handle to release all the nails collected is a nice feature allowing you to get all the old nails in your bucket / box for disposal.I would imagine a stronger magnet would help prevent grass knocking off the nails but would come at a investment cost.

I have used larger built up magnets before (wrapped in a plastic bag).This one works very nicely.No more having a bag tear, and having to pick items stuck to the magnet off one by one.Pull the collar up, everything drops off into the trash can.Roll it around, dump the ferrous items.Now if only there was a way to pick up brass items besides layers of old pantyhose in the shop vac tank over the intake baffle held on with a nylon strap.
