I installed this in my parents 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck. The touchscreen controls are very intuitive and user friendly. A very easy to use system which is good because my parents are seniors and not very tech savvy.Installation was very straight forward and there was plenty of wiring to reach from the mirror to the rear bumper. The wiring was also thin enough to route under the headliner and gives a nice clean finish to the install. They have been using it for almost two weeks and there are no issues. They are quite pleased with the performance and find it easy to use. They especially love that the whole mirror is the backup camera! Everything just works - exactly as advertised.

First the good.. I like the 10" screen and the fact you can slide the view up and down to setup the desired view.Bad: The rear camera is too big. Didn't want to fit properly on the trunk license plate area. The video freezes without any reason randomly when i put the car in reverse. The image and recording freeze. After this happens, when I turn off the car, the camera won't shut down. It stays powered on until its internal battery is depleted. Only way to make it work again is to hard reset the camera. Also, when you put in reverse, the rear guide lines are narrow. My previous dash cam would automatically align with the parking lines. This one is fixed width and I have to be careful to not hit the corner of my car with the car parked in the next parking spot. I still have to check the side mirrors.I reached out to the vendor and I was told they will ship me a new power cable as they thought that might be the issue. It never arrived. It has been over 2 months and nothing. I can't return the camera as it is over 30 days. have to live with this faulty dash cam or buy another one.I do not recommend this dash cam.

I installed one of the two units I purchased for our vehicles. The rear camera is excellent. I do wish the parking grid was adjustable or could be turned off. The 1st vehicle had a camera already that I installed with the new radio head.Also, it would have been good to get the units that connect to the phones but I decided to let the budget decide.I think the next uit will be great on the Jeep as it has so many blind spots and only side view mirrors to back up.I am going to mount the rear camera in the centre of the spare.I figured out that the camera bracket can be flipped by just removing two screws.I will update on the install and function.A year has gone by and the unit installed in the Jeep does not have a working backup camera any longer.Need to find out what the warranty is...The one in the Pontiac G8 is still working well, but that vehicle does not get driven that often.Update:I am still trying to determine if I can get a replacement backup camera. I have checked wiring and there does not appear to be an issue. The Camera worked very well for a while but did not survive the 2nd winter. If I leave the rear camera plugged into the mirror, it randomly switches between front and rear camera. The rear is blank though when the camera is on. Also, the function of the mirror becoming a regular mirror and turning off the display does not work when the rear camera is plugged in. Just running with front camera right now.
