6’-2”, 210 lbs slim build, the XL fitted me perfectly. There’s room for moderate wooly clothing underneath but it’s not so large as to feel baggy. I tried it out walking the dog in 2 degree windy weather and never felt cold at all though I may need warmer pants, or perhaps thermal underwear, but it’s not necessary for the body. I like the protective band around the lower face, which could even cover my nose if I hunkered down a bit. Coming from California it’s taken us two years to realize that our CA clothing, no matter how many layers we wear, won’t cut it. This, and some so called waterproof shoes, is one of the first items in my new wardrobe. The label says ‘wash and reproof every 6 months’, don’t know what that involves, the top and bottom zip fasteners are convenient. The only addition I would like is some sort of fastener on the hood, to pull it tight around the ears when facing into a head wind.

I ordered this for my Xl Husband as a Christmas gift, but ordered a large based on some reviews I read. When it arrived I had my Medium size son try it on and it fit him perfectly. I did not bother re-ordering an XL as I believe it would still be too small for my husband. I cannot comment on the warmth of the jacket but it is a good looking Coat for something so long.
