There's so much flex in the material I had to hold the ID forks apart to get the caliper to slide. There's so much looseness in construction the calipers move when you handle them. You have to read the measurement before removing the caliper from the piece you're measuring. Quality of material and molding quality is terrible.

Works as expected. Not heavy duty but good for occasional use. Easy to slide but grips so it wont move unintentionally.

I bought this caliper to check dimensions when I am doing wood carvings. It works just fine for that purpose and will not scratch the wood that I use it on. Accuracy was not a primary requirement, so that not a problem. It is light and works quite smoothly and I can adjust it with one hand. I did find it at a local tool outlet for a little cheaper price (this was not an Amazon free shipping item), but the price and delivery were "fine" and I'm happy.
